Education At Fennies

We know how important the first five years are for a child’s development, and we’re committed to delivering excellence in every area of our nursery. At Fennies Raynes Park, we conduct quarterly quality audits led by our Regional Managers in collaboration with our Director of Early Years, Rageena. These comprehensive reviews allow us to reflect, evaluate and continuously raise the standards of care and education we provide.
Specialist Education
We’re proud to offer an enriched learning environment at Fennies Raynes Park, guided by our central Specialist Education Team. This includes our SENCO Specialist, Art Specialist and Education Advisor, who support practitioners in delivering inspiring activities every day. Children enjoy initiatives such as ‘Artist of the Month’ and ‘Book of the Month,’ and benefit from real-world experiences including nature walks and library trips. Families are also invited to borrow books from our Lending Library to encourage a love of reading at home.
Parent App
We believe in strong partnerships with families, and our Famly App helps us stay connected throughout the day. Parents receive real-time updates about their child’s activities, meals, sleep and milestones, helping them feel involved and reassured. The app also shares nursery news and event reminders, keeping everyone informed and engaged.
Meet The Team

Working in Early Years education is one of the most fulfilling and meaningful careers. Having the opportunity to shape the future by nurturing the development of the next generation is incredibly special, and it’s what drives us every day. At Fennies Raynes Park, we’re proud to provide an inspiring environment that supports every child’s development, and our passionate team plays a key role in delivering exceptional standards of care and education.
Our experienced educators work alongside our central education team to ensure every child receives a rich and engaging learning experience. At the heart of our nursery is a shared commitment to putting children first, and everything we do is underpinned by the Fennies values. Now, let us introduce you to the team that brings the Fennies vision to life each day…
The Management Team
Kirsty (Nursery Manager)

Kirsty brings a calm, balanced approach to her role. She is passionate about building strong links within the community, regularly connecting with local businesses such as the Food Bank and Library, which the children enjoy visiting as part of their learning experiences. With a career dedicated to supporting others, Kirsty finds great fulfilment in helping both children and her team progress in their individual journeys. Her ambition for the Early Years sector is to enhance the curriculum by embracing children’s unique hobbies and interests, making learning more enjoyable and engaging.
Oceane (Deputy Manager)
Originally from France, Océane’s journey into the Early Years sector is a testament to her dedication and resilience. She moved to England without knowing the language, learning English on the job while building her career and passion for Early Years education. She stays closely connected to her community by fostering a culture where everyone feels valued and respected. Océane treasures the support she has received since joining the Fennies Family and channels this into driving her team’s passion, creating a positive, welcoming environment that inspires growth and development for both children and colleagues.
The Education Team
Paula (Regional SENCO And Inclusion Manager)
Paula plays an integral role in offering support to children with additional needs or those learning English as an Additional Language (EAL). She plays a key role in enhancing our team’s understanding of both SENCO and EAL empowering us to provide the best possible care.
Ruth (Education Advisor)
Ruth is pivotal in motivating our teams to create engaging and stimulating environments for our children. She is a strong advocate for our initiatives like our ‘Book of the Month’ and our recently introduced ‘Music and Movement’ campaign. Music-based activities are essential to our curriculum due to their profound impact on brain and emotional development, along with its benefits on children’s holistic well-being during their Early Years.
Majka (Art Specialist)
Majka frequently visits all of our nurseries, including our Epsom nursery, to guide the children in learning through art. Each month, she introduces an ‘Artist of the Month’, encouraging children to explore various art activities inspired by that artist’s works.

Cooking also provides a valuable opportunity for children to work together on shared projects, developing teamwork and communication as they create delicious dishes they can be proud of.
Gardens

The gardens at Fennies Raynes Park extend learning well beyond the classroom. With dedicated outdoor spaces connected to the Discoverers and Inventors rooms, children are free to explore, play and engage with nature at any time. These areas support physical development, imaginative play and social interaction in a natural setting, whether that be building dens or enjoying sensory-based learning in the fresh air. The seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces encourages independence and enhances day-to-day discovery.
Hygiene
At our Raynes Park nursery, creating a clean and safe environment underpins everything we do. Strict hygiene routines are followed across the setting, with regular handwashing built into each day and consistently modelled by the team.
Two dedicated housekeepers clean the nursery every evening, and a quarterly deep clean ensures the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the year. These routines support every child’s health and wellbeing, while also helping them build important self-care habits through daily hygiene activities that are taught in a positive, reassuring way.
