Settling-in sessions at Fennies Ealing, Junction Road allow the children and parents to be introduced to the nursery and team. It starts with you liaising with the admissions team to provide all the necessary details, and then the Nursery Manager can help organise the first settle based on your proposed start date. On this day, the parent and child will attend for a short visit, with the parent remaining onsite while the child gets familiar with their surroundings and people. This allows the transition period to be as smooth as possible, helping your child build initial bonds within the room. The settling-in period is free of charge and generally takes one week, but can be extended to two weeks if deemed necessary.
CCTV is only installed around the exterior of the building for added security at Fennies Ealing, Junction Road. CCTV is not installed in our rooms. This is because when it comes to team selection, we place great trust in our recruitment process, ensuring we only hire the best caregivers for our nurseries. CCTV would create a ‘big brother’ working environment where the team’s every move is monitored, removing any trust in their professional practice. If parents wish to remain up to date with their child’s activities and well-being throughout the day, our team provides regular updates on our Famly app. We do not allow lone working, meaning there will always be a minimum of two team members with your child at all times, ensuring your child is in a safe and secure environment.
At Fennies Ealing, Junction Road, we have designed our rooms to provide free-flow access, allowing children to easily transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. We are proud to offer two outdoor terraces, one connected to our baby room and another connected to our toddler room. We recognise the numerous benefits of outdoor learning. It serves as a platform for children's imaginations to flourish and promotes their mental well-being by providing a refreshing escape. Additionally, outdoor play helps channel their abundant energy into active engagement, contributing to their physical development.
We do! Our Ealing nursery accepts all eligible government childcare funding schemes, including the 15 and 30 hours free childcare for working families. Our team can help you understand how to apply and how funding can be used to cover some of the nursery fees.
