Just a 5-minute drive from Horley Train Station, our nursery is ideal for families who need convenient access for commuting or school runs.
Inside, you’ll find bright and spacious rooms that spark imagination and curiosity at every turn. With 3 bespoke learning spaces and a spacious garden area, children can enjoy hands-on, active learning throughout the day, seamlessly moving between indoor and outdoor spaces.

This expert team includes a SENDCO Specialist, Art Specialist and Education Advisor, who bring learning to life through inspiring initiatives. From ‘Book of the Month’, which celebrates stories and builds early literacy, to ‘Artist of the Month’, which introduces creative techniques and cultural exploration. Our Lending Library also gives families the chance to take the joy of reading home, while regular trips into the Horley community, including local library visits and nature walks, help children make meaningful connections with the world around them.

Explorers Rooms

Our Explorers Room is specially designed for our youngest children, aged 3 to 24 months. This is a time of exciting physical development, from crawling to first steps, and the space has been set up to support every milestone.
Sensory experiences are woven into daily learning, helping babies to understand the world around them while building communication and cognitive skills. The room also features a calming sensory corner, direct access to nappy changing and milk prep areas for smooth routines.
With a 1:3 staff-to-child ratio, our babies receive personalised, nurturing care that supports secure attachment and emotional development.
Creators Room
In our Creators Room, for children aged 2 to 3 years, is all about encouraging independence, imagination and social skills. At this stage, children are discovering their voice, forming friendships and enjoying new responsibilities, like helping to serve meals and tidy up after themselves.
Free-flow access to the garden supports active play and smooth transitions between indoor and outdoor exploration. With a 1:5 team ratio, our team offers a balanced mix of guided learning and child-led play that builds confidence, collaboration and communication.
Inventors Room
Our Inventors Room, children aged 3 to 5 years are supported as they prepare for school and beyond. The room is designed to promote curiosity, problem-solving and creativity, all through our STEAM-inspired curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths)
With a 1:8 ratio, children enjoy hands-on, project-based learning that encourages independence and critical thinking. Free-flow access to the garden allows for continued discovery through nature and physical play, extending the learning environment outdoors.

Garden

The garden at Fennies Horley is a vibrant outdoor space where children can move, play, and learn through exploration. With exciting features like a ‘Fennies Airport’ and water feature, the garden encourages physical development and supports social interaction through shared play.
Children have daily access to the outdoors, helping them to connect with nature, develop gross motor skills, and enjoy meaningful, active learning in a safe and joyful environment.
Hygiene
At Fennies Horley, we take pride in upholding the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our nursery. Every space is cared for with meticulous attention to detail, creating an environment that is not only safe but also fresh, inviting, and supportive of your child’s wellbeing.
To maintain our pristine setting, two dedicated housekeepers visit the nursery every evening to complete a thorough clean of all areas. On top of this, we carry out a full deep clean every quarter to ensure our environments remain spotless and aligned with our commitment to excellence.
Food At Fennies
At our Horley Nursery, we believe that healthy eating habits begin in the early years — and our approach to food reflects that. Our on-site chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals every day, using seasonal ingredients to create balanced menus that fuel active learning and development. Menus rotate twice a year to keep things varied and exciting, while also reflecting the natural rhythms of the year.
We’re proud to be accredited by the Early Years Alliance (EYA), which underpins our evidence-based approach to nutrition. We cater to all individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances and family preferences, ensuring every child feels included, safe and confident at mealtimes.
Safety and Security

Your child’s safety is our top priority at Fennies Horley. From drop-off to pick-up, we’ve put in place a secure entry system to ensure that only authorised parents, carers, and trusted team members have access to the building.

Simone (Nursery Manager)

Simone’s experience and dedication to Early Years education is rooted in both her professional and personal life, she’s a proud mum of four! This means whether she’s at home or at work, she’s always focused on nurturing children to reach their full potential. Her passion for connecting with the wider community brings exciting opportunities into the nursery, offering children experiences they may not otherwise have access to. With experience managing several nurseries, Simone brings a wealth of knowledge to Fennies Horley, with a vision of helping every child thrive in a setting that’s inclusive, inspiring and outstanding.
Rosie (Deputy Manager)
Rosie brings joy and energy into the nursery, and even a touch of star power! As a former member of a competitive karaoke team, she’s no stranger to taking centre stage, something the children love about her fun and engaging approach. Rosie is passionate about embedding the nursery into the local community, planning outings like litter picks and visits to nearby shops. Her proudest moments in Early Years have been supporting children with additional needs and watching them flourish. She’s committed to creating inclusive spaces where every child feels valued, understood and excited to learn.
The Education Team
Paula (Regional SENCO And Inclusion Manager)
Paula plays an integral role in offering support to children with additional needs or those learning English as an Additional Language (EAL). She plays a key role in enhancing our team’s understanding of both SENCO and EAL empowering us to provide the best possible care.
Ruth (Education Advisor)

Ruth is pivotal in motivating our teams to create engaging and stimulating environments for our children. She is a strong advocate for our initiatives like our ‘Book of the Month’ and our recently introduced ‘Music and Movement’ campaign. Music-based activities are essential to our curriculum due to their profound impact on brain and emotional development, along with its benefits on children’s holistic well-being during their Early Years.
Majka (Art Specialist)
Majka frequently visits all of our nurseries, including our Ealing nursery, to guide the children in learning through art. Each month, she introduces an ‘Artist of the Month’, encouraging children to explore various art activities inspired by that artist’s works.

From day one, new starters are supported with a comprehensive induction. By their second day, every team member is trained in paediatric first aid, equipping them with the confidence and skills needed to respond quickly and calmly in any situation.
