CHRISTCHURCH NURSERY ( EY 376225)

This is a large modern nursery located in Purley. There is a large car park which allows the dropping off and collection of your child to be done in a safe manner. In addition to CCTV recording 24 hours a day we use a key pad entry system which allows parents or authorised carers of Fennies children to gain access into the nursery. The nursery is within a ten minute walk from Purley train station and the 60, 166, 405, 455 and 466 buses stop a few minutes walk away.

We are open Monday to Friday between 7.45am and 6pm (although extended hours are offered at a small extra charge), 51 weeks of the year, and we close for Bank Holidays and a week at Christmas.

The practitioners caring for the children in the nursery have knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and plan activities for the children to further their development at every stage based on the individual child’s developmental needs.

We have three baby rooms for children aged between 3 months and 2 years which are spacious fully air conditioned filled with bright soft furnishings and some wonderful resources. The staff ratio in the baby room is 1:3.

Included in their daily routine is story time, singing, puppets and musical instruments. Each child is encouraged to develop and use their senses by exploring different textures with messy play, sand, water and painting. Our facilities also allow access to a separate garden for the babies with soft matting which allows them to explore and play safely.

There is a large soft play garden area, with equipment for the children to practice particular skills and improvement development in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
